Compared to ordinary interior rearview mirrors, the streaming media interior digital mirror utilizes a wide-angle camera mounted at the rear of the vehicle. At 20 meters behind the vehicle (the most critical area for drivers), the digital mirror can see a width of 28 meters, approximately 8 lanes. In contrast, a standard rearview mirror only captures 7.3 meters, about 2 lanes (half of the current lane and half of the adjacent lane).
